KCRA 3 Launches The KCRA 3 A-List

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- KCRA 3 will officially launch an innovative and interactive web initiative today on www.KCRA.com. The KCRA 3 A-List, available at www.kcra.com/alist, is unlike any project available in the Sacramento market and kicks off with the "Best of the KCRA 3 A-List" competition, powered by CityVoter.

The "Best of the KCRA 3 A-List" competition includes over 900 nominated businesses in the Sacramento area that fall into 79 different categories such as Arts and Entertainment, Beauty, Cheap Eats, Fashion, Great Meals, Health and Fitness, Nightlife, Shopping, Specialty Food and Drink, and Weddings. In addition to contact information, each listing includes a description and rich digital images, adding a new dimension to traditional directory listings. KCRA 3 viewers can vote for their favorite businesses, email listings to friends and family, submit testimonials, and nominate businesses that are not already on the list.

During the "Best of the KCRA 3 A-List" competition, viewers will be able to visit www.kcra.com/alist from February 20, 2007 through April 13, 2007 to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses and track the voting results. When the competition ends, winners will be notified and posted on www.kcra.com during the week of April 23, 2007.

In addition, viewers who vote during the eight-week competition will be eligible to win one of three high definition television sets. After the voting concludes on April 13, 2007, City Voter will select three winners at random from all email addresses submitted during the competition. KCRA 3 will contact the winners and make arrangements for them to receive their new HD television sets.

"This is another KCRA 3 first: it's the first competition in the Sacramento area where viewers can nominate a business, vote for their favorites, give testimonials and email the business listing to their friends."

When the "Best of the KCRA 3 A-List" competition concludes, the KCRA 3 A-List will be a useful local resource and guide to local businesses in the Sacramento area. KCRA 3 will conduct the second annual "Best of the KCRA 3 A-List" competition beginning in March 2008.
