KETV ANNOUNCES THE 2008 WINNERS OF THE BEST OF THE A-LIST
Online Guide Closes Inaugural Contest to Allow Viewers to Acknowledge their Favorite Omaha-Council Bluffs Businesses

Omaha, August 19, 2008 Omaha’s KETV announces the winners of the Best of the A-List, powered by CityVoter. The inaugural competition invites thousands of locals to vote for their favorite businesses on the A-List on http://www.ketv.com/alist.  The A-List is built to be the premier destination for local information, featuring descriptions, photos, maps, and real-life customer comments on the top local businesses. The A-List provides local businesses with a platform to easily create, manage, and promote their own web content and gives consumers the power to choose the best businesses and post comments, photos, and more.

In just over eight weeks, the A-List has nearly doubled in size, currently featuring information, photos, and reviews on 580 local businesses. The eight week long contest drew roughly 2,700 votes per week for more than 70 categories such as Burger, Day Spa, Pilates Studio, Sushi, Art Museum, and Live Music Venue. A new set of winners in selected categories will be posted every day this week on http://www.ketv.com/alist.  The complete online list of 2008 winners will be posted on Friday, August 22.

“KETV would like to congratulate all of the winners in our inaugural ‘Best of the A-List’ voting” says Sarah Smith, KETV’s President and General Manager. “With more than 250,000 page views, the A-List has proven to be an overwhelming success for KETV and all of the local businesses involved.”

“We are thrilled to see so many local businesses receive the recognition they deserve on KETV.com’s A-List,” comments Josh Walker, CityVoter CEO. “As customers continue to go online before making buying decisions and to look for the best local spots, we are proud to support KETV’s commitment to providing local businesses a valuable online presence at no charge.”
